Snooze StudyChime From Phone Alerts.

Enable secure Remote snooze links in Discord, Telegram and Pushover, understand the available choices, and fix browser push registration problems.

Remote snooze lets you pause StudyChime from a new Discord, Telegram or Pushover alert without returning to your computer.

Remote snooze is available with an active Premium licence or Premium trial.

Before you start

You need:

  • StudyChime 1.5.0 or later
  • active Premium access
  • at least one external alert method: Discord, Telegram or Pushover
  • a supported Chromium browser with push messaging available

Your computer must remain awake and the browser must be running for StudyChime to apply the snooze promptly.

Enable Remote snooze

  1. Open StudyChime from the browser toolbar.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Overview.
  4. Find Remote snooze inside Snooze alerts.
  5. Enable Add a secure snooze link to external alerts.
  6. Wait for StudyChime to confirm that secure snooze links will be included in new alerts.

Remote snooze links are added to genuine new-study alerts. Alert tests do not create a Remote snooze link.

Open Snooze alerts from a new Discord, Telegram or Pushover alert, then choose:

  • 30 minutes
  • One hour
  • Until the next active schedule window
  • Until tomorrow

The next-window choice appears only when the active profile has a future scheduled window. If no suitable window exists, use one of the other choices.

After you choose an option, the link is consumed and cannot be used again. StudyChime sends the command to the browser registered for that Premium licence, verifies it there and updates the local snooze setting. Opening the page without selecting an option does not consume the link.

  • Discord shows a labelled link in the alert message.
  • Telegram shows a Snooze alerts button.
  • Pushover shows a labelled link when you open the full message. Pushover may remove link formatting from the notification preview.

Each Remote snooze link:

  • contains a random signed capability rather than a licence key
  • contains no study, alert-message or schedule details
  • works once
  • expires after six hours

The link does not contain your licence key, study details, alert text, or schedule. StudyChime does not create a Remote snooze activity history. Read Privacy & Security for implementation and data-handling details.

Brave setup

Brave may allow ordinary local browser notifications while its Google push connection is disabled. Remote snooze needs that push connection.

  1. Open brave://settings/privacy.
  2. Enable Use Google services for push messaging.
  3. Open brave://restart to restart Brave fully.
  4. Return to StudyChime Settings → Overview and enable Remote snooze again.

If registration still fails, disable and re-enable Remote snooze after confirming the setting and restarting Brave.

If Remote snooze is not working

Check that:

  • Premium or the Premium trial is active
  • an external alert method is enabled and successfully receiving real alerts
  • the browser is running and the computer is awake
  • a VPN, firewall or DNS filter is not blocking the browser’s push service
  • Brave’s Google push setting is enabled when using Brave
  • the link is less than six hours old and has not already been used

Disable and re-enable Remote snooze to create a fresh browser registration. If it still fails, email [email protected] with the error shown in StudyChime.
